In the midst of a federal government shutdown, the U.S. government’s gross national debt surpassed $38 trillion Wednesday, a record number that highlights the accelerating accumulation of debt on America’s balance sheet.
It’s also the fastest accumulation of a trillion dollars in debt outside of the COVID-19 pandemic — the U.S. hit $37 trillion in gross national debt in August this year.
These days, your money belongs to Donald Trump, and he does whatever he wants with it. The White House belongs to Trump, and he does whatever he wants with it. That’s what kings do. And that’s as much of a breakdown of democracy as his increasingly authoritarian grip on the country.
Trump started the week by unilaterally deciding to demolish the East Wing of the White House so he could build an enormous $300 million gold-plated ballroom paid for by donations from private companies seeking to curry favor. No, he didn’t get any permits. No, he didn’t go through any public review. No, he did not submit any plans to the National Capital Planning Commission.
Under the law known as National Historic Preservation Act, and according to Section 107 of the act, three buildings and their grounds are exempt from the Section 106 review process: the White House, the US Capitol and the US Supreme Court building. Trump is a billionaire and does not need your money. Nor does he have to "curry favor" from the doners. Democrats need to get over their TDS and be happy the country is moving in the right direction as well as getting over this "democracy" spiel. So ridiculous and no one buys it other than a few lunatics.
Where were all of you when Bidens took all these millions him and his crime family from China and Ukraine and other countries? All the corruption fraud greed and Evil coming from the Biden crime family and nobody ever even wanted it to be put on the fake news! The fake news that they're all complicit with the evil liberal left Democrats lunatics! It's pretty sad that they love to point out everything about President Trump and the wonderful job he's doing bashing him non-stop but they never brought up all of the corruption and all the money that the biding crime family took pretty ironic!
