As reported by the Daily Mail, Trump, alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, staunchly opposes such a policy, while far-right factions in Israel's Knesset push for annexation to block Palestinian statehood.

This bold stance comes on the heels of a fragile ceasefire with Hamas, a deal Trump brokered to end a two-year war in Gaza. His administration, including Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, has reiterated that annexation would jeopardize the hard-won peace.

A symbolic vote in the Knesset, passing 25-24, endorsed West Bank annexation, a move Vance called a "very stupid political stunt" while in Israel.
