As New York City lurches toward its next mayoral election, voters are getting a preview of what socialist leadership really looks like – and it’s not pretty.The Big Apple finds itself in familiar territory: political chaos. Current Mayor Eric Adams has dropped out of the race, throwing his support behind former governor Andrew Cuomo.
Into this void steps Zohran Mamdani, the socialist Democratic nominee who’s somehow become the frontrunner in a city that once prided itself on law and order.
This is the same progressive politician who champions redistributing wealth, defunding police, and transforming NYC into a socialist dystopia.
But campaigns cost money, even socialist ones. And when you’re selling a message that most working New Yorkers don’t want to buy, you get creative. Or in Mamdani’s case – and this is rich – you just take what isn’t yours.
