Camp Mystic Flood

Climate Expert Slams Democrats for Trying to ‘Exploit the Tragedy’ of Camp Mystic Flooding

An analysis of global rainfall trends over the past 200 years published by The Heritage Foundation earlier this year concludes that “global rainfall trends and extremes do not align with a global systematic change that could be attributed to a single driver, such as rising carbon-dioxide emissions.”

“Rainfall doesn’t follow a regular pattern—it goes up and down in unpredictable ways and varies a lot from place to place,” Diana Furchtgott-Roth, director of Heritage’s Center for Energy, Climate, and Environment, told The Daily Signal. “Because of this, scientists use models that deal with randomness to study it.”

“While changes in local and regional rainfall are important for managing water and preparing for floods or droughts, there’s no strong evidence yet of a global trend in rainfall or a worldwide increase in extreme events that can be clearly linked to human-caused climate change,” she added.

“For as long as people have kept records, Texas has always had periods of drought punctuated by severe rains and flash floods,” Loyola added. “It is irresponsible to use the tragedy of the Texas floods for political gain.”

I think they seeded the clouds and caused all the rain. That's what they're saying on X.

Who is "they?" Democrats? X's CEO just resigned --there for 2 years--one day after Musk’s artificial intelligence chatbot Grok repeatedly made antisemitic comments and referenced Hitler in response to posts about the Texas flooding.

I'm just repeating what people are writing over there. I know Texas and Florida have laws against it but maybe someone did something sneaky. You never know.

Charlie Kirk is blaming DEI. Could be?

DEI in Texas? Sounds insane to me.

Yeah. Austin has a black fire chief. What are the chances? In Texas, right?

Shows that the large majority of Whites in Austin are not prejudice I would guess and voted for the most qualified?

The Austin Firefighters Association did not mince words when sharing its views regarding the flood response from Fire Chief Joel Baker. In a Facebook message posted Monday, the AFA claimed that except for three rescue swimmers, Baker deliberately "DENIED the deployment of Austin firefighters to Kerrville until very late into the event."

See, I told you. I wouldn't be surprised if he's the one who ordered the cloud seeding, too. Everyone is blaming Kristi Noem for not ordering search and rescue crews for 72 hours after the flooding began but the real cause of the deaths is Baker.

I'm sure there will be hearings regarding this tragedy, that will pinpoint areas where this tragedy could have been lessened, but certainly not avoided. In the end, The River had its way.

There are tragic situations, where human error plays a part, and could have been avoided altogether, if everyone had done a better job. Grain Elevator collapse, plane crashes, scaffolding falling, etc., but to look for fault in a natural disaster from a political standpoint, is beyond the pale. Sometimes, it's the natural disaster itself, which brings about the warning system that may save many lives. There are natural disasters, in other parts of the world, that claim hundreds of thousands of lives. America has so far been a very luck country. Let's hope its luck holds because that's all it is. Fate!
