Comment Up
Actually the REAL message is,
We union members won't be
screwing the taxpayer any longer in Wisconsin.

You are exactly right - taxpayers are getting the shaft! It is high time labor leaders stop bullying the taxpayer and high time weak politicians stop caving in. What part of ‘there is not enough money’ is not understood! Shades of Susan Stanton I would say. Bravo Wisconsin and Brava Susan Stanton!
I love this title, you know Lynn, I must say, I applaud you for all you post and blog about, you do it with sincerity and honesty and post most of what we say even if it differs sometimes from you, I like that you are fair and balanced and are open to showing all sides and opinions. I have come to the conclusion that you more so than the other city blogger are more fair and show all sides, the other seems to be with all the rich and powerful who want to do what they want to do, without anyone telling them what to do, almost more like the PBPost or NYTimes. Thanks Lynn for a great blog, and for democracy here in our city and country, we need to allow people to show the whole truth. A lot of people might say people like you and me are crybabies too, I do not care, I think we need to speak the truth and show all sides and not cover things up. There is too much greed, corruption, and power hungry people out there, like these unions and public worker who always want more, we need to stop all these free lunches. Thanks Lynn for reporting so many good stories here, showing all sides and being fair and balanced. It means a lot.
People say we are a society of complainers, always complaining about everything, never happy. But although this may be true, it is for a real reason, it is because we have mediocrity at its best in the USA in this day and age, people of quality and who were brought up right want and deserve the best and when they seen their city not function, their elected leaders fail them and be so dysfunctional. Our country and government is broken. Our elections laws and campaign finance is broken, our leaders are ineffective, laws protect and serve big business over citizens, our leaders are not responsive to their constituents, no one cares anymore, most leaders are self serving for their gov. benefits and rights, they care more about that then the country and people as a whole, it seems only West and Mack Bernanrd care, they seem genuine, but time will tell if they change too. It is no wonder we all complain, and complain a lot on blogs and online, since most elected officials just won't bother to return a call, letter, or email anymore. Our government and its leaders are broken, we have to much waste, to much taxing, too much ineffective ruling. One of these days we may have an uprising against all of this, I guess that is what occupy was about to some degree, but they need to bring it to DC, maybe we will have a 'French revolution" type uprising here in the US soon, people are fed up with government and ineffective leaders.
