Students in a Texas public high school were made to stand up and recite the Mexican national anthem and Mexican pledge of allegiance as part of a Spanish class assignment, but the school district maintains there was nothing wrong with the lesson.

Parents-please pay attention to what is being "taught" to your kids on a daily basis!
The really disgusting thing here is that socialists are winning in court. Kids don't even have to recite the Pledge to OUR flag.
In 2009, a Montgomery County, Maryland, teacher berated and had school police remove a 13-year-old girl who refused to say the Pledge of Allegiance in the classroom. The student's mother, assisted by the American Civil Liberties Union of Maryland, sought and received an apology from the teacher, as state law and the school's student handbook both prohibit students from being forced to recite the Pledge
At least our Mayor will be able to lead them on! I am unemployed and do not think it is fair that I can't get many jobs, ex. doctor's, dentist's, car salesman, cable installer,construction foreman, etc., because I do not speak Spanish. I live in the United States and wish to speak the English language. If I were to move to Mexico, Italy,France, Russia, etc. then I would learn to speak the language of the country that I chose to live in and be expected to, even as a common courtesy. How many places even here in Lake Worth if you cross over Dixie Hwy., can you be understood? How many hospitals , nursing homes, etc. can the workers cannot comprehend your needs if you can not speak their language? What's worst, go to Miami. Think everyone should desire to speak the language of the country they wish to live in. If there is life on Mars, will they have to learn English? I know that's farfetched, but does everyone get the idea, if you live in the U.S.A., learn the language!

Oh come on, it was a SPANISH class assignment. It makes total sense for a Spanish class to be studying the Mexican national anthem or the Spanish natiolan anthem or pledge, etc. I remember similar lessons when I was in school, 20 years ago, and I was in French class.
What about having an ENGLISH class for all these immigrants whose 2nd language is English. What about that? What about ensuring kids that they take the Pledge to the American flag and to our country? They can teach Spanish history but the pledge to the country of Mexico? It was a Spanish class, not a Mexican allegiance class. Get real.
