Lynn ... Are you aware of Mark Perrillos current medical condition that is requiring serious surgery, and in this picture he represents Kenny, the character that always dies in many of the episodes....this local graphic artis is going over the top....and what I don't understand is why you allow this to post when you know it is slanderous. I agree with you on many of your views, but this is going too far out there.....This is supposedly what Rachel says ALL the bloggers do to her.....publish this and respond please....

My only statement on this graphic--

I don't recognize anyone in the crowd (of those who might have attended) in this drawing other than Greg Rice. I have no idea who Kenny is or which one you think is Mark.

Next, since the NA allowed the body slam of Waterman, this graphic is calm in comparison and meant to be a joke. Not everyone agreed with the "free speech" at that forum. Not everyone will like this graphic. It, I am sure, was done in the spirit of what this artist witnessed and felt that night. I am also sure that she doesn't believe that Pam plays with sex toys as an example. I interpret this to mean that not one other candidate even attempted to stop the assault by saying...can the candidates please stick to the issues..which, incidentally, are not depicted on this graphic. The issues to me are slum, blight, spending, taxes, assessments, waste and the city manager. Anyone up there, after the mike was passed to them, could have said something to get the forum on track and be human but they all went along with the attack.

So everyone believes in free speech when it comes to themselves but not to the other guy when he takes a poke.

My feelings are hurt. I'm the one in the back holding that racial profiling sign.

Mark doesn't wear glasses so it isn't Mark.

I guess you can make anything out of anything. Who in the hell ever watched this cartoon character unless you are a 3rd grader.

Not very observant I guess but I do wear glasses and that is a likeness intended to be me. If it is the local graphic artist I think it is it would make sense the Kenny comparison since he is a devoted Cara supporter who hates me ever since I defected from the cabal. Thanks to the first anonymous commentor for standing a cut above the rest and showing some true human compassion for a very scary and very life threatening health situation. I am humbled by your expression of respect to what I am going through. In Lynn's defense she has called me frequently since my accident and been very supportive even offering assistance for me to get to a Dr. appt. or the grocery store since she knows I lost my vehicle in the accident. I am pretty sure Lynn was unaware of the whole Kenny inference. If it is God's will, I will recover from the surgery with more energy and enthusiasm to continue speaking my mind and fighting for a better Lake Worth for as long as I live here!!!

Love, Peace and Happiness,
Mark A. Parrilla

Sorry, Mark. I never heard of Kenny and know nothing about cartoon characters other than what has come out of Disney perhaps. Snow White. I would doubt that the artist would want you literally killed off and he/she probably knows nothing about your health. I am also sure that the artist would prefer you to be politically "killed off" if this was the intent here. I don't know. It's up for interpretation. Someone else had to point out to me that they thought it WAS you depicted standing behind the Lake Worth sign. Actually, it could be taken as a compliment--being behind Lake Worth.

This graphic is so funny. It shows the essence of Rachel. How come your not in it Lynn?

The artist had good sense. :)

Lynn if it is the artist I am thinking of he does know of my health situation but I really don't care. If it is him I am not surprised nor will I loose any sleep over it. Your right Lynn it could be seen that way, Mark aka Kenny stands behind Lake Worth.

To the previous poster who stated only third graders watched this cartoon. I doubt that I don't know any third graders allowed to stay up at the time this cartoon comes on and it is not your typical kiddie cartoon it's demographics was aimed at young adults and successfully reached that target very well.

I noticed the artist also included Mary Lindsey with a bullhorn and what looks like Marshall to the left of her but I am not sure.

Lynn who's side are you on? If none, is posting this impartial, or fair?

Lynn Anderson said...

I'm not sure that the artist was even taking a side. The artist depicted Waterman as mean and angry.

If it helps, I am against anyone who voted for this Budget and special assessment.

Funny stuff. If we can't laugh once in a while what fun is it to even live? South Park did a pariody of John or me a couple of years ago. You have to watch the show to appriciate the humor, and it's timeliness. Who's the woman standing behind the mayor? Also, couldn't that be Laurence McNamara next to Mary L.?

Anonymous said...

It's definitely Wes Blackman before he shaved. The woman behind the mayor is her campaign manager, Pearl, aka, Trisha Fitzpatrick.

Who's Marshall?

Anonymous said...

Other than your happy smile Mark, I didn't realize it was you. Congrats. You are now a folk hero of Lake Worth.

Then you have to vote for Andy.

Where is Stanton?? Oh right she is at her house aka City Hall with Police Protection.

Anonymous said...

Wow! I admire the skill that went into this! Right on target! Greg, I'm really impressed about the south park thing with you and John!Any way we can see that clip? Too FUNNY!!!Thanks for putting this up ,Lynn.

If Andy is elected does this mean the Mayor will have to use a Dildo instead of a Gavel?

The three candidates in the foreground need adult supervision. I am thankful that Lake Worth has Rachel and Jo-Ann. And thanks to the artist for exposing the candidates.

You mean you are grateful for taxes, anon at 8:17?

grateful they represent the people who live in lake worth and not the developers
