The Four

Comment Up

The four residents running for mayor are as different as night and day.

Tom Ramiccio is the only candidate with experience as an elected official. He wants to sell our greatest asset, Lake Worth Utilities. "I am going to focus on experience," says Tom.

Lisa Maxwell says that she loves this city but wants to give everything away to Palm Beach County--our police and our fire. She favors keeping contracts even if they are unfavorable to Lake Worth and the PBSO contract is just that. "We signed it, we live with it," is her motto.

Javier del Sol is an activist and the only one with the guts to tell the truth--we need our own police department in order to control costs. He believes in strong code enforcement and says it will reduce crime. "We need to get to the roots of our problems," says Javier.

Rachel Waterman is running for office for the first time. Highly educated, she has a strong background in economic development, something that Lake Worth needs. She was a senior planner for Palm Beach County's office of Community Revitalization. "Build on our assets," say Rachel.

Did you use the painting of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse on purpose?

Yes, and don't ask me why. It just hit me and not because of anything religious.

Who is riding the white horse? that will be the victor. Fess up, Lynn. Who is on it?

He is the deceiver; therefore he appears in white. He has a lust for conquest. Could be two or three of them. Politicians are what they are.

That photo does appear to be people going into a battleground. That is what this race will be. Good, evil, etc. Will these candidates even have the time to campaign? This is stupid, really.

Go to the Palm Beach County public records and the Brevard County public records. You'll see the foreclosures. People need to know who they are voting for and public records are for the public's knowledge. If you don't care about her personal financial history that's fine.

I appeared before the P&Z years back when Maxwell was on it. She treated me like a piece of trash. No use for this kind of person. When you are trying to comply with laws, you shouldn't be treated like some sort of a criminal.

There are really a few evil people in this group.

It's a disappointing field, Lake Worth needs and deserves much better. The only candidate I was excited about was Cary Sabol, he has done a phenomenal job on the CRA. I will be writing him as I feel none of these other candidates warrant support!

Sabol thinks the CRA has a deep pocket. We need someone who can crack down on spending. It ain't him. We need a leader not a follower.
