Do NOT mess with Whistleblowers

Comment Up

As we continue to ponder our very own employee/employer relations right here in Lake Worth with Whistleblowers and their final termination for airing their grievances, Phizer, Inc. was involved in a huge scandal involving healthcare fraud and shhhhhh--dreaded whistleblowers. No parody warranted here but this case is not just beginning as is the Utility Whistleblower case in Lake Worth; it is over. All the facts are in--Whistleblowers win a heck of a lot of money.

"As part of the settlement, Pfizer also has agreed to enter into an expansive corporate integrity agreement with the Office of Inspector General of the Department of Health and Human Services. That agreement provides for procedures and reviews to be put in place to avoid and promptly detect conduct similar to that which gave rise to this matter,” the Justice Department said.

Six whistleblowers will receive payments totaling more than $102 million from the federal share of the civil recovery, the government also said."

Read the New York Times article. Don't call Tom. He will give you some sort of explanation or definition that does not apply.

I blame the city staff for 95% of the problems that we citizens have to endure, and things are just getting worse ! Our elected officials are to blame for the other 5% because they are weak and spineless, taking the B.S. handed out to them by staff with lowered heads and shaking bodies.the utilities director should be fired for what she has allowed to happen to our employees. Do I believe that the utilities director is trying to deliberately stop our city owned plant from operating at 100% efficiency ? YOU BET !!! I never thought I'd say this ,but I miss Paul Boyer !!!!

Bill Coakley has done some remarkable investigative reporting on this subject. It has taken untold hours and dedication. Watergate didn't take overnight and neither did LakeWorthUtilitygate. Without him, it would have all been swept under the rug...people fired for telling the truth and people publicly humiliated. Hopefully, we will have three employees who will be exonerated and compensated. Anyone who has any questions on this subject, please go to his web site and read about it or call him. He will be happy to answer any questions. At this moment, it is all in the hands of attorneys.
