September 10 Hometown Democracy – an Oxymoron?
Ryan Houck, Executive Director, Floridians for Smarter Growth, was the guest speaker today for the Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce. The meeting was held at The Breakers.
Ryan, the cheerleader FOR the Chamber and development crowd was fed the questions from planted shills. He answered them in his normal, lying and deceitful way attempting to cause mass hysteria of expense, delays, delays and expense, litigation after litigation none of which are true. Where does he come up with this stuff? Reading way too many fiction novels. When asked if changing a window in one's house would have to go to a vote, Ryan said, "Well, possibly." What A COMPLETE LYING MORON--NO Oxy.
This is how this group does it. This is how they defeated the SuperMajority here in Lake Worth...the Power Grab bunch. Remember them? I will never forget.
I have concluded that there is no way that the people can ever win. Just look at the proposed budget for tonight. Disgusting. We might just as well have a dictator because the entire system is corrupt anyway and every commissioner is in the hands of more powerful and more knowledgeable corrupt people who never have any solution other than to raise fees and raise taxes.
Will truth ever prevail?
