Cultural groups are arming for the Palm Beach County Commission budget hearing Tuesday at which funding for 37 small cultural groups is expected to come up.
County staff has recommended zeroing out the grants because of the tight budget.
The Palm Beach County Cultural Council has asked for $320,000 in general revenues for the grants. The council has kept its members abreast of developments through e-mail blasts and many are expected to show up for the meeting, council head Rena Blades said.
The hearing will begin at 6 p.m. at the county governmental center, 301 N. Olive Ave., West Palm Beach.
