CNN continues in its quest to take down the President
Fareed Zakaria, the most brilliant human alive, who knows EVERYTHING (don’t take my word for it, ask him), has declared that he knows exactly why Donald Trump won the 2016 presidential election in a landslide.
Read more about it...
Just last month it was reported that more Americans tuned in to watch re-runs of “Yogi Bear,” “Full House,” and “Friends” on Nick At Nite than to watch Anderson Cooper and Don Lemon’s shows on CNN.
Immigration policy lowers wages & hurts American employment
CBS: Immigration policy lowers wages & hurts American employment.
CBS News reports that automakers (who receive hundreds of millions of dollars in U.S. subsidies and tax breaks) are profiting from the use of foreign workers who are paid "far less than Americans - about $10 an hour." "It's basically: sweatshop" says an American safety manager who has worked on the construction sites. Watch and Share the report
Automakers are exploiting visa loopholes to bring in foreign workers at low wages when American workers are available. In a separate interview, visa watchdog Jay Palmer explains how immigration policy gives employers a deal they can't refuse: "Why train an American as an apprentice or teach him how to do electricity or plumbing, {who} is maybe going to be unionized and pay $15-20 an hour when you can pay a foreign worker four dollars an hour, five dollars an hour, six dollars an hour? Why do that?"
Spread the word: The purpose of immigration shouldn't be to keep wages down. (twitter users can tweet directly at the president at @realDonaldTrump)
As is often the case, Americans who are harmed by these practices do not blame the foreign workers -- they blame the companies and the government policies. Daniel, a foreign-born American citizen and member of the sheet metal union tells CBS: "I have nothing against those men, they work here...I would do probably the same to provide for my family. But that should go towards our pensions, towards our daughters future or sons...not some other country....
"....I'm angry. Angry. Angry. There's lots of guys out there still looking for work. In the United States. And now we have how many, thousands and thousands Eastern European workers working here? And they're abused, too? Who lets this happen?" Daniel's anger is in the right place. The government lets this happen. It is the responsibility of our elected officials to reform immigration policy to once again serve American workers, including immigrants like Daniel.
Spread the word.

Bon Voyage to Margaret
Last night, a few of Margaret Menge's friends gathered to wish her good-bye. She and her son Clayton are re-locating to Indiana.
Naturally, a lot of our discussion was on Lake Worth. Dennis Dorsey, former mayor of Lake Worth, is a living Lake Worth history book. Chad Drake was there and it was mentioned that his grandfather was the 2nd mayor of Lake Worth. We talked about the old Lake Worth and how great it was back then with middle class families and tourists and retirees bringing their money to help Lake Worth prosper. Lake Worth was a small town then and literally you knew everyone you passed on the street. There was no such thing as slum and blight and you never heard of crime. You didn't even have to lock your doors.

Settlement Agreed - Morganti and REG on our Casino Repairs
Tempers flew from the dais last night on the proposed settlement agreement regarding our Casino building.
On a 4/1 vote with Vice Mayor Scott Maxwell saying "hell no," (he has little to no tolerance with anything pertaining or remotely connected to our beach), the commission has given Morganti and REG six more months to correct the deficiencies on the water intrusion and ponding of water associated with the second floor deck and the windows and/or doors at the Casino.
If Scott Maxwell thought that the two new commissioners were going to rubber stamp him on every issue, he has discovered that Robinson and Hardy are independent thinkers, not his hopeful little puppets. The mayor even lost her cool on several occasions and had to get the dais back on track as a few were wandering and diverting from the subject at hand.
Morganti and REG have 6 months to correct the problems. There will be no cost to the city and all legal fees to date will be paid from the settlement. Thank you commissioners for voting for this agreement.
MS-13
Although published 3 years ago, this show is worth repeating as it takes a look at one of America's most feared Hispanic street gangs MS-13, a gang President Trump is determined to take down.
Mara Salvatrucha (commonly abbreviated as MS, Mara, and MS-13) is a transnational criminal gang that originated in Los Angeles and has spread to other parts of the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Central America. The majority of the gang is ethnically composed of Central Americans and active in urban and suburban areas. In the U.S., the MS-13 has an especially heavy presence in Los Angeles County and the San Francisco Bay Area in Northern California; the Washington, D.C. metropolitan areas of Fairfax County, Virginia, Montgomery County, Maryland, and Prince George's County, Maryland; Long Island, New York; the Boston, Massachusetts area; Charlotte, North Carolina; and Houston, Texas. There is also a presence of MS-13 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

261 Sanctuary Cities to lose millions

The Daily Signal reports that the Justice Department has confirmed that it will block Byrne Justice Assistance Grants, which account for the lion’s share of federal aid to states and localities for criminal justice, from sanctuary cities, specifically jurisdictions that keep Immigration and Customs Enforcement from talking to local officials and interviewing inmates, or not notifying ICE when they release aliens ICE wants to deport.

Early Morn at Lake Worth beach
I drove over early this morning thinking the surf would be up because of Emily. It was smooth as glass. It's hard to imagine that we had any sunlight today! We are so lucky to live on the Atlantic ocean with a beautiful beach park. Now all the City has to do is repair our existing pool.

Kim the "Krazy"
The US military has detected “highly unusual and unprecedented levels” of North Korean submarine activity and evidence of an “ejection test” in the days following Pyongyang’s second intercontinental ballistic missile launch this month, a defense official told CNN on Monday.

Settlement Agreement Reached on the Lake Worth Casino
Settlement Agreement on the Table for our Casino Building
According to the backup under Agenda item 12-F:
Morganti, REG, and/or No Limit will obtain and assign to the City all warranties given to them relating to the products and materials utilized in the Balcony Remediation. Morganti and No Limit will correct any Balcony Remediation work found to be defective or not in conformance with the Balcony Remediation plans and specifications within one (1) year after certification promptly at no cost to City. Morganti and No Limit will also be responsible for and pay for replacement or repair of adjacent materials or work which may be damaged as a result of warranty repairs.
The City, Morganti, REG and No Limit will release each other from claims or damages which arise from the defects within the notice of claim, but not claims for latent defects or the work being performed in connection with the Balcony Remediation. The Parties will also execute the Fifth Extension of Tolling Agreement which tolls the statute of limitation until February 2018, when the work should be completed. Through this settlement, no party admits any liability, but rather the parties agree to the settlement as a compromise of the claims in the interests of avoiding the costs and uncertainty of litigation. Except as noted above, each party bears its own attorneys’ fees and costs in connection with this Settlement Agreement.

Shanon Materio gets ousted from MPO
Wanting to do everything possible to protect their water supply, West Palm Beach has always been against the State Road 7 extension because they say it would harm the source of the city’s water supply — Grassy Waters Preserve, a 24-square-mile marsh that was part of the original Everglades.
Although it was a good fight but one that they could not win, West Palm Beach has spent over $2 million opposing this 4.2 mile project. But Commissioner Shanon Materio who is on the Metropolitan Planning Council just voted for it. She was then kicked off the MPO on a 3/1 vote by the West Palm Beach council.
The U.S. Army Corp of Engineers just issued its approval for the project.

Imran Awan - Debbie keeps "doin" it
"In a move that is proving to be very premeditated, the amazing folks over at The Daily Caller have learned that Imran Awan, the IT guy for Wasserman Schultz and the DNC, had already wired money to the country he was going to flee to and had been liquidating his assets here in the United States THE DAY he was arrested.
In fact, the day of his arrest, he accepted an offer for one of the houses his wife “owned” at the asking price of $618,000. For someone with his income, he clearly lived well WELL above his means."
