Save Benny's advocates at City Hall last night

Lake Worth Beach residents gathered at city hall to protest before Lake Worth city commission meeting

Locals lined up for public comment, but the real action happened 'outside' on the steps of city hall where a peaceful protest was held.

More than 100 people gathered last evening to show their support for Benny's on the Beach and many were in the chamber to speak before the city commission.

There's so much hypocrisy do you think this clown amoroso will allow real America's voice to broadcast their morning TV show American sunrise at Benny's though? He's such a hypocrite and hater so deranged!

It was enough to make the point...save Benny's.

It's not a question of saving Benny's. They just have to pay the increase. Keep in mind that somebody has to pay it. I doubt if the 100 people are going to volunteer to pay it.

You don't seem to know when you are being played!

@5.35--not sure you understand the facts. They gave him a 33% increase...no good enough for you?

My condo fee increased 72% over the last 4 1/2 years. I should worry about Benny? You are just looking at this from a political angle. What about Finance and Economics?

That's too bad about your condo fees.
I am looking at this as only affording decent treatment to a long time tenant at our Pier...that's it.
A fair increase, yes.
Don't stiff the guy.
Some respect here, commissioners.
