South Carolina’s First Execution by Firing Squad Could Be Coming Soon
Death by firing squad is making a comeback in South Carolina. The Greenville News reported as much in an article a few weeks ago, saying that.“The South Carolina Department of Corrections spent about $53,600 to establish a firing squad and renovate its execution facility, according to Department of Corrections spokesperson Chrysti Shain. That includes a number of rifles — exactly how many was redacted in a response to a records request by The Greenville News — and it includes renovations to the capital-punishment facility, stainless steel sheeting, ammunition, and ballistic partitions, according to invoices obtained through the Freedom of Information Act.”
Breitbart, reporting on the situation, adds that “There are 35 men on death row in the state and the last execution occurred in 2011, when Jeffrey Motts chose the death chamber instead of moving forward with the appeals process, according to the AP. He was convicted of strangling his cellmate to death while serving a life sentence for murder.”

Firing squad strikes me as to honorable; how about hanging?
I like stoning. It's a super slow death and it makes the victim think about everything they did wrong. Serves them right.
fireing squads or stoning aint going to stop crime any more than what is happening to ghost guns.how many of these crimes are comited by people who passed background checks and are lagal.there are lagal people that snap then drug dealers that shoot each other for teritory
A DOJ report finds that the vast majority of guns used in criminal activity were obtained illegally or about 90%
you just said it the bad guns were 90% illigal.so leave us legal people alone
You can forget stoning 9:15, we may be going back, but not that far back. Lethal injection and electric chairs malfunction. These methods were supposed to produce a more humane way of executing murderers, but they have misfired too many times. Personally, I think I'd rather be shot.
My reservation is that a firing squad is generally associated with spies, traitors, and other enemies of the state, not common criminals.
