Will be interested to hear more. I'm leaning towards voting for new blood since the current folks have failed to address crime and blight issues.

It takes a lot for someone to run for office especially in this city. I give them all a lot of credit. One might only be running to bring out issues that bother him. Some might be running to really win. Time will tell but at least the election will be much more interesting.

Thank you Lord. There is a God! I have been praying and praying that someone, anyone would run and oppose the current majority voting block. Halluliah! I was so afraid we would end up with the same gang of 3 walking right back in with no opposition. Will find out more about them and plan to work my buns off to take our city back. Thanks for the good news:)

Out of the 4 challengers, I think I've only seen Gary Anteau ever attend a meeting. I don't ever remember hearing him speak. Where did these people come from?

Great question, anonymous.
But let me remind you--NO ONE ever saw Pam Triolo at a meeting...no one even knew who she was.
Andy Amoroso started to attend once he knew he was running although I believe he thinks differently.
Scott, while he was out of office, no one ever saw him at city hall meetings.
SO?

I'm glad somebody is running against "the gang of three". These three have no respect for the residents. They have no respect for an election. The town has fallen into total disrepair under their "leadership".THEY TRIED TO GIVE AWAY our beach and pool to Hudson Holdings. They still might if they are not kicked out of office. They wanted to destroy a public park, John Prince Park for the benefit of baseball billionaires. They stole 50,000 of our tax dollars for propaganda that would have allowed them to steal 63 million from us.They have refused to fix our roads, instead spending millions on a park of commerce that we don't even own and nobody cares about. They dismissed an entire citizen board, some of whom had several years left to serve because they wanted to get rid of one of the board members. They act horribly at meetings, treating the public with total disrespect.Secret meetings arranged by city manager for life Mike Bornstein are the norm.Pam ,Andy and Scott need to get voted out of office.

I was disappointed tonight at the commission meeting... Only Gary Antieau, mayoral candidate showed up - and then left about an hour into the meeting. Does he have the stamina to endure these commission meeting, especially when they are complex and run long? I wanted to meet him but never got the chance.

Gary has an elderly spouse who is not well and needed to get home. I'm sure your worried about his stamina.

I am Lynn, why are you s cynical. Wouldn't you expect candidates who just today or yesterday paid their fees and filed their paperwork to them show up for a critical commission meeting? I would, and I did!!!

It was their prime time chance to state for the record their views and wax poetically especially on the Gulfstream rezoning issue which was such a hot button. But alas, they were all mute and that does speak volumes for me as a resident and voter.

You know what they say, if it's too hot in the kitchen, better get out.

"Sam"-you are the one who came out with the snarky remark about Gary Antieau without knowing any of the circumstances...what does my comment have to do with you interpreting it as 'cynicism."

The other candidates will come out in due time. I don't know any of them nor do I have a reason why they did not show up for this meeting. You have their contact info now, so get in touch with them.
