Bryant Park

Comment Up

Mark Parrilla sent photo and update on Bryant Park:

Happy to report not one vagrant in the Bryant park this morning, bathroom clean and I haven't had to pick up one piece of litter this morning during my workout!

We have begun to "take it back."

On another note, Susan Ona, Communications Tech for Bryant Park Neighborghood Association says: We have had a few residents of the community who have asked if they could make some comments and suggest some ideas for the plantings along the Seawall. If you would like to send your ideas or suggestions, you may send them to this site: bryantparkneighborhoodnews@gmail.com Please keep your comments brief and thoughtful. Kindly send them by Monday, November 11th, 2013. Make sure you sign you e-mail with your full name. Thanks for your ideas and help.

Lynn,

You are right, WE ARE TAKING BACK OUR PARK! We cannot let the momentum die down now. Let's get more people out to our Bryant Park Cafe every Sunday morning @ 9am for delicious coffee and pastries and hopefully more of Katie's delicious Christmas breakfast bake casserole. Drive down, park, take a walk, sit on the sea wall, take the family for a picnic. The more law abiding residents who use our park the less the unlawful ones will feel comfortable with calling it home!

Sincerely,
Mark A. Parrilla

Love our park and the people caring about it and our city. Breakfast casserole is pretty doubtful this week. Katie is tired! Katie

I went to speak to two people from Calvary Church 301 1ave. South 561.586.1786 who when I asked if they could please feed the homeless at their parking lot the told me it a public park no one can tell them what to do. Beautiful attitude for a church toward the community it operates in. Maybe if more residents called and spoke to the Pastor and let him know how the homeless leave the park riddled with litter for the residents and city workers to clean up so we can have a clean, decent, drug free park so I don't have to discover a homeless couple going at it like rabbits when I do my daily morning inspection of the bathrooms in the park. I chased them out and they had the audacity to go to city hall and complain at the info desk that someone threw them out of the park.
