Government officials told the Washington Guardian on Friday
night that two Justice Department programs that had provided more than
$200 million to schools for training, security equipment and police
resources over the last decade weren't renewed in 2011 and 2012, and
that a separate program that provided $800 million to put police
officers inside the schools was ended a few years earlier.

I think you have to look at the govt officials who told the Washington Guardian this, anonymous. Get it straight.
I have it straight Lynn. The school was implementing new security procedures from what my friends up there tell me. I am appalled and disgusted by your spin on this.
You couldn't even let a day go by, nor post about the enormity of the tragic events before you spun it to blame Obama.
Oh and Lynn, while you are at it please tell us why children should not have a nice playground near the beach. They are being slaughtered in our schools while you are worried about having to walk too far to a restaurant or buy a tee shirt.
Aren't the conservatives you like against gun control?

Let me remind you, AGAIN, it was government officials who said that to the Washington Guardian. You don't like what they said? You would rather me sweep it all under the table? Too bad really. I don't like Obama and I make NO bones about it.
The children have NICE playgrounds at our other parks. People go to the beach, not to swing on a swing. The city never should have taken convenient parking away--revenue for the city. The upper lot is where people want to park.
The school's doors locked at 9:30. No security guard. No cameras. It was a horrible tragedy. The entire country reported on it for days. Something has to be done about all the crazy killings in this country. perhaps Obama can figure that one out.
The cry me a river Obama gangsters are just that, a gang of thugs. And while they opine about this horrific tragedy, remind yourselves what they are really after - the evisceration of the 2nd Amendment! So, if they cared about the kiddies they NEVER would have cut the safety funding, but it was NEVER about the kids, but about gun control.

If they have their way, the only ones who will have guns are killers and criminals (they will always find weapons) and law abiding citizens will be left at the mercy of the regime which wants total control.And the 2nd Amendment is meant as assurance/insurance against a power hungry leadership, and this is why its authors were visionaries.
