Laura Hannah working in paradise

Comment Up

Someone just brought up the former assistant city manager of Lake Worth, Laura Hannah. Has anyone wondered what happened to her?

Laura is the Village Manager at Village of Golf, Florida. The Village of Golf is a village in Palm Beach County, Florida, United States. The population was 260 at the 2010 census, and ranked as the 4th highest-income place in the United States.

The Village of Golf's description of its town:

Rich in history, residents all share a passion for a distinct, recognizable culture within the Village of Golf, Florida. A golfing community formed in 1957, this relaxing municipality encompasses roughly 542 acres and includes residential, agricultural and commercial properties. The commercial property, located at the intersection of Military Trail and Woolbright Road, is commonly known as Village Square Shopping Center. A full-service community with the most superior amenities, the Village of Golf fashions the finest standards of living and picturesque golf.

As a place to call home, the Village of Golf’s aura, atmosphere, and tone is simply beyond description. A collection of shared interests, a habitat for true friendship, and a direct outgrowth of our unique history, the Village of Golf is distinct from any community in South Florida. Undoubtedly, tradition and history lay the foundation for the extraordinary character of the Village of Golf. The word “paradise” is no exaggeration, but a true account of the unique beauty that exists within our country club, golf course, homes, and overall ambiance.

Quite a difference coming from an extremely poor city with loads of immigrants, criminals, gangs and dead-beats to the Village of Golf where all the 1% live. Must be nice. No slum. No blight. No "visionaries." By the way, Golf is a low-rise city.

Paradise----would that be a place without malcontents, useful idiots or foolish-baseless arguments by people who have no understanding of the fight topics they initiate?

Good question. It sure doesn't sound like the sort of place where you would fit in.

Laura Hannah was not a nice person or asst city manager, she was rude and obnoxious. That is why she was run off by Susan Stanton. I don't know how long she has been the village manager, but if she shows her true colors someday, she won't last very long there either. A bad apple and attitude girl.

anonymous, why I did not post your 2 comments is because they are very harsh. They might be true but I don't have any direct knowledge of your accusations. I don't see any reason to hit that far below the belt. When Laura was here, the city manager on his way out, gave her a $50,000 raise. This sure helped her resume quite a bit and allowed her to find another job making good money I would guess.

she was a great example of what really went on in this city and when you dont let the people know what some of us know--then it just might happen again---lets just be thankfull she is gone ---my words are not harsh --they are true and i guess the truth hurts

When looking for the truth, I want issue related examples, not personal habits or personal attacks. She was terminated because Stanton did not need her services.

when was the truth a personal attack
