Nine-Year-Old Girl Slain in AZ Attack
Among those killed in Saturday's mass shooting in Tucson, Arizona, was 9-year-old Christina Taylor Green, a resident of Tucson.
Green was invited to attend the event—a sort of listening session and community outreach program that Rep. Gabrielle Giffords often holds in her district—by a neighbor because she thought she would enjoy it. "The next thing you know this happened. How do you prepare for something like this? My little niece got killed—took one on the chest and she is dead," said Green's uncle. Green was a ballerina, a basketball player and had just been elected to the student council at her school. She was born on September 11, 2001.
