Ukraine Secret Service Arrests Hacker Helping Russian Invaders

According to the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), a hacker who was working to help the invading Russians has been detained by the country’s authorities. The hacker was revealed to have provided technical assistance to invading Russian troops, giving them access to mobile communication services while operating within Ukraine’s borders.

The unnamed man reportedly broadcasted text messages to Ukrainian government officials, including civil servants and a number of security officers, proposing that they should give up and begin working for the Russians – suggesting that the invading forces were likely to succeed. He was also accused of routing phone calls from Russia to the cell phones used by Russian troops within Ukraine.
