Lake Worth to vote on final millage rate on September 26, 2017 at 6pm

At the September 19th city commission meeting, the city adopted a millage rate that was as follows:
With the inclusion of the County Fire MSTU millage 3.4581, the City’s maximum available Operating Millage cannot exceed 6.5419 mills. The tentative millage is 5.4945 mills (or $5.4945 per $1,000 assessed valuation), which is 7.24% more than the rolled-back rate of 5.1237 mills.
Yesterday, the city published its proposed tax increase in the Palm Beach Post that states the increase is 12.9% more than last year's total operating expenditures.

So, we are paying the following millage:
5.4945 General fund
  .7499 Bond debt
3.4581 MSTU County Fire

9.7025 TOTAL MILLS

We are only allowed to charge 10 mills by law...cutting it mighty close-- .2975 mills.
