The "White Elephant"

Back in 2012, City Manager Michael Bornstein said, "Our pool is a white elephant." Well, it hasn't been and it never had to be but Bornstein was determined to make it so. He even recently promoted Juan Ruiz to assistant city manager with part of his job description of enacting Bornstein's pool policy. He now has 5 commissioners in place that will listen to him with undivided attention...no questions asked with Scott Maxwell being the head honcho against our pool.

He won't get questions like, what if you marketed it?  What if you gave it a decent budget for maintenance?  What if you had commissioners looking after our assets or who gave a hot damn? They want to make our beach a commercial enterprise...the pool is only an amenity that has been neglected for years.

Just last week--

Whoever is going to be running against Maxwell- this would be a great picture to send out on a post card AGAINST him. "Look what Scott Maxwell did to our pool".

Make it a parking lot. Move it to the mainland where it makes sense. Idiotic to keep a fresh water money pit at our most valuable property for 50 people to use.
