Why do we have immigration laws?
This guy answers it very well at NWI.com--
There are many reasons we have immigration laws. To protect the American workers' wage base and our citizens against criminals are two reasons for enforcing immigration laws.
In 1986, we fixed our immigration laws and gave amnesty to 3 million people illegally in our country. We were promised there would be no more amnesties and illegal immigration would cease. Twelve million illegal aliens now reside here as a result of our government fixing our broken immigration system!
You see, when we keep electing the same politicians who care more for their donor base their constituents, we will keep getting promises instead of action.
We give citizenship to 1 million legal immigrants every year who seem to be able to navigate our broken system just fine. It's those who are ineligible to do so who enter our country and complain the system is broken.
Enforcing current laws will fix our broken immigration system.
