Back in December 2011, a motion was made by Scott Maxwell and seconded by Andy Amoroso to fire our city manager. We all knew that Maxwell hated Stanton because she didn't let him get away with his bullying. Amoroso didn't have a reason. When
asked he said, "My motion is enough reason." Back then, Amoroso went along with the flow but seems lately to be coming into his own--better late than never.
Mayor Triolo
voted to fire City Manager Susan Stanton because of Triolo's vision of prosperity
and respect of all people. No kidding--that's what she said. Just three weeks after being elected, she determined that Susan
Stanton did not have "her" vision and she gave no respect to Ms. Stanton. Actually, the mayor's own words get in her way as she has proved that her shoulders are not big enough to tactfully handle anyone who disagrees with her.
Often times with a lack of awe-inspiring decisions, many on the dais forget what they said and when they said it. As Scott Maxwell would say, "I'm tired of the game playing" but this is typical politics from someone who knows how to play the game better than most.

I can't figure out why this commission acts the way it does.Scott actually looks like he's having a stroke and has a big nerve blaming people in this town for everything he finds wrong with it. You can't cure it with taxes and stealing from the people,,,our town was fine before all these slumlords started renting to all these third world people and gangs who are committing crimes.
See how stupid the people that read your blog are? If Lake Worth was "fine" before the slumlords would not have been able to buy up properties cheap to rent in the first place.
You read this blog so that means you are STUPID?
First of all, your "stupid" comment is against policy. One thing that you people do well is name-calling.
Next, LW has always been an affordable city overall. Slumlords have been here for a very long time. Slumlords don't really care what a neighborhood or a house looks like--they are in it to make tons off of the backs of poor folks as rental rates are not exactly low. It is all investment to them with no commitment to the neighborhood.
