Lake Worth Alumni Barbecue

It was a nice Sunday afternoon -- great food and chatting with old friends. Some of the people there (we missed the Dorseys) were Mr. & Mrs. James Addison, Sally Welch, Katie & Randy McGiveron, Ann Harvey, John Harvey, Virginia Thomas, John Adair, M/M Bill Thrasher, Roberta Stephens, Caryl Anderson, Lonny Mills, Randy Hall, Jenni Chastain, Phil Calcagno and my beautiful cousin, Laurie Figueroa. Paulette Burdick, Palm Beach County commissioner is seen talking with Katie. I was lucky enough to win the chocolate basket from Hoffmans.

Congratulations Lynn on the chocolate win. BTW is Randy Hall Deidre Hall's brother or cousin? Didn't she graduate from LWHS?
Deidre Hall had a twin sister and 3 other siblings. I was told years ago that she and Randy were brother and sister or related somehow but I'm not sure about that at all and it probably might be a myth. Randy had 3 beautiful sisters and one was homecoming queen back when they picked them for beauty--he graduated from LWH in 1960 and Deidre in 1966. Deidre had 3 siblings older than she so it sort of suggests that perhaps they were ? Although Hall seems like a common surname, I don't really know too many. I researched this years ago and never found any reference of Randy being related to Deidre.
If there is a god Katie will run for office.

Congratulations, Lynn ! I got to catch up with an old friend and classmate, Bama Lutes. We also went to church together !MANY thanks to Paulette Burdick for coming out and supporting Lake Worth High school and it's kids. This lady is smart, a true voice for the people. Shame on our Mayor and Commissioners for not bothering to show up. Katie Mcgiveron
