Bill O'Reilly on the Alien Plight

Comment Up

"What has not changed is the humanity of most Americans. People without an agenda realize that most illegal aliens are here to feed their families, not to cause trouble. But we also realize that our federal government has allowed and sometimes encouraged immigration chaos, which has damaged the fabric of the nation. You simply cannot allow more than 10 million people to occupy your territory without any accountability. And that's what has happened."

There are over 841,000 illegal alien fugitives. It has cost our government $26.26  billion to incarcerate illegal alien criminals who have committed serious acts against citizens and property in this country. Costs for housing, medical, and educating their children alone are in the billions being paid for by citizens. Today is an entirely different and volatile time than when Mr. O'Reilly's or our ancestors came to Ellis Island to become a productive citizen of this country. Today, over 100 years later, we have a legal process for immigration. Now we have criminals crossing our borders, uninvited.

The peak year for immigration at Ellis Island was 1907, with 1,004,756 immigrants processed. Arrivals to Ellis Island were asked 29 questions including name, occupation, and the amount of money carried. It was important to the American government that the new arrivals could support themselves and have money to get started. Those with visible health problems or diseases were sent home or held in the island's hospital facilities for long periods of time.  Some unskilled workers were rejected because they were considered "likely to become a public charge". About 2 percent were denied admission to the U.S. and sent back to their countries of origin for reasons such as having a chronic contagious disease, criminal background, or insanity.Wikipedia

Even liberals will agree to what O'Reilly wrote...who would have thought that?

Sorry, but Bill O'Reilly and Fox news are both so biased, hateful, and elitists, they are pro-Republican, just turn them on and listen to them for 5 minutes. Where is their love, compassion, and sense of caring for humankind. Human trafficking is the greater problem in all of this.

I respectfully disagree with you, anonymous. There are certain program, such as Hannity, that are biased but Bill O'Reilly's show is NOT. Overall, Fox News is fair and balanced and number 1 in news. Give it more of a try than 5 minutes.
