If ever there was support for the old Biblical philosophy of "an eye for an eye" it is in the recent case in Belle Glade. It should also apply to beastly, cruel injuries to all animals.
Read the story about a sick SOB who lives in Belle Glade where his pet dog never had a chance from this inhuman being.
Let's make sure this guy goes to jail for a long time. Can justice rule to saw off his leg while he is ducked taped and tied down?
Christianity teaches forgiveness and turning the other cheek. There is just way too much evil in the world today that makes it problematic for me to accept Jesus' teaching on this subject: "Do not resist the one who is evil. But if anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if anyone would sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well. And if anyone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles."
No, I believe that justice should be swift, forceful and meaningful.
