Wandered down to the Plump Tomato located at 821 Lake Avenue yesterday to try their lunch menu. There were about 6 people in there behind the counter. We were the only customers at 11:45am. What drew us to this restaurant was the promotion painted on the window on Dixie Highway advertising gluten free. No previous restaurant has been successful in this location because of the lack of parking there. The Plump Tomato took over the old Miami Subs space and it is almost the identical decor and set-up.After we sat down and got our drink orders, a temporary looking menu was presented. The waiter failed to mention the daily specials. No where on the menu did it mention any item being gluten free. When we asked about it, we were told they didn't have gluten free food...maybe in a few weeks, he was uncertain.
After looking at the menu with an average price of around $9 on up, we decided to leave and give it a try on another day.

I guess they wanted to get plump from the high prices they charge.They would fit in with what the Casino business`s will charge.
