Can you please post a photo of Andy. thank you.
As soon as he officially enters the race, I am sure that there will be some photos up.
We have just been informed by the Office of Inspector General that they have withdrawn and closed their investigation into Dee McNamara's complaint against the CRA. Her allegations that the CRA has wasted NSP funds and overpaid for properties purchased was found to be without merit. Peter Timm filed a similar complaint with HUD, which after an audit was also found to be without merit. I hope this will finally put to rest any and all claims that we at the CRA have failed to properly administer the NSP Program. In fact, the average price paid is approximately 15% below appraised value whereas HUD only requires that we pay 1% below appraised value. It would be nice if the LW Herald would run this story, since its allegations were used as evidence in the investigations.
Cary Sabol,CRA Chair
In other words, the cra can continue to waste money and do what they want.
Two down, Wes to go.
Wanna take wagers on Wes's complaint going the same way as Dee's?
Anon at 9:51...
If you have proof that Sabol's statements are untrue, you must post them. Otherwise your comment shows the utmost stupidity.
Show us you're not stupid and please post.
Thank you.
Cara Sabol is the one who posted at 9:51. I can't find where anyone disputed his statement.
Why aren't you posting the findings of the IG regarding Dee and Peter Timm's complaints..?
If Wes' complaint with the IG is found to be baseless, will you not post that as well?
And isn't it really good news that the IG found no merit to the claims?
I for one am thrilled to hear news that LW did no wrong on this one!
Please post the news...!
Cary Sabol's comment was posted. I have not seen any documentation to support anything. I ususally do not write a blog on say-so. I do write opinion and I have NO opinion on this as I don't know what the IG did to determine its outcome. If you want to see an entire blog on the subject, go to Wes's.
It was the clueless poster at 2:33 pm August 10th who took exception to the findings. They must be an expert on such things. Oh the ignorance that abounds......
Again, I repeat--NO ONE took exception to any alleged findings of the IG. Someone made a comment. There are plenty of citizens out here who question the CRA and its spending, not only on this but on many decisions it has made in the past. I fit into the latter category. I would also like to see the downtown removed from the CRA.
Aren't you splitting hairs here?...your research is extensive on other matters, and yet you are unwilling to properly post the findings of the IG regarding Dee and Peter's complaints.
Dee and Peter have been very vocal about their CRA complaints and it seems only fair that this blog should report the findings.
If you believe that Sabol's report is "say so", then please enlighten us. And like the other poster said, isn't it GOOD news that Lake Worth came away with a clean slate on that particular issue??
I don't think Sabol's post under CRA Cancels Mtg qualifies as this blog posting this news.
Of course this blog can post whatever it wishes, but not posting such news is negative and counter productive...just my opinion.
If I had a copy of the IG report and if I read it, I would be able to comment on it. As I said, I don't know anything about it.
Quit trying to be so arbitrary and make a mountain out of a molehill.
Take your personal attacks somewhere else. Thanks.
Will do.
Lynn, can you just explain why you don't think the findings by the Inspector General are important enough to post? Or just say that you are not a fan of the CRA and will not post positive things about them. Because that is what it's sounding like.
I know your blog is YOUR blog, and you have every right to post what you want - but I thought your blog posted both sides of stories and then let all of us have a crack at posting a comment.
This blog is not Fair and Balanced reporting like Fox News (barf) It is Lynn's Blog, Damn it! She does not have to report both sides or all sides or what you want her to post, only what she freaking wants to post!! So do not come on here all winey about wanting Lynn to post what you think she should post, B! It is her ball and bat and she can do what she wants, B!
Leave Lynn alone!!!
This is LYNN'S BLOG!!!! Do you really come here to find ALL of the NEWS in and around Lake Worth???? You Crazy, B!
Thank you and carry on Lynn......
Nice fan you have there...what does 'B' stand for?
I only thought that this blog which I have been a fan of, would WANT to report some good news about the city - especially when it comes to the citizen complaints to the Inspector General, being negated.
I now understand that is not the case - and you're absolutely right! This blog can be whatever Lynn wants it to be....and now it's clear.
What is CLEAR should have been apparent as I answered you twice above. Send me the freaking report and if I find it interesting I can comment on it. The CRA has been vindicated according to Cary and there is no reason why I should disbelieve him. So, that's great for the CRA. Frankly, it may be good news for the city as you put it but actually I am not a fan of more affordable housing, government grants for people to buy more affordable housing and all the rest. I am totally UNCLEAR as to where the CRA is spending this money and their unexplained reasons or strategy. We are attracting the very poor into our city and I question the value of that decision in order to spend $23million bucks, a hell of a lot of money, some of which is going to salaries, etc. Have Andy the candidate explain it. Luckily, it will clean up 120 houses or so across the city--not much of a dent on slum and blight.
I sincerely appreciate you explaining your position on this.
Thank you! I now get your point..
