Diana says "we're ready to allow the adults back into the room and lock the liquor cabinet." Adults don't behave like her candidate, Tom Ramiccio, did during this election. Diana also says that Tom is the only one to fix the problems in this city. What problems are you talking about, Diana?
Are you talking about finally going forward with the rebuilding of our Lake Worth casino, a stalled idea for 30 years?
Are you talking about saving $3.5 million dollars by getting out of the County water deal and finishing our Reverse Osmosis System?
Are you talking about saving $1.2 million dollars on the Sheriff's contract that our city manager recently negotiated?
Are you talking about getting out of the Florida Municipal Power Agency's All Requirements and saving money on the price of power?
Are you talking about lowering our electric rate that will soon come up for a vote?
You can't be talking about the Snook Island project or the money set aside to improve our golfcourse greens, our streets and sidewalks, can you?

Did she know that Tom ,on P.& Z. voted to sell our Palm Beach Island
1 1/2 acre Old Bridge Park Land ,worth $17,000,000,-, surrounded by ICW water,on Palm Beach Island,
for $1,400,000,- to a client Evans.
Evans sued Laurence and me with a S.L.A.P.P. suit and lost against Marcy Lahart, our friend and Lawyer for good causes!!!!!!
We won 1 1/2 acre Palm Beach Island and all public Park and Land withour Charter Amendment for all Lake Worth!.No one can macth that!
West Palm Beach,(wrong side of ICW)
sold 1 acre waterfront land for $11,000,000,- see PB.Post.!
Why did Tom not collect our $1,000,000,- a year sewage treatment fees from 7 surrounding Towns, while Mayor and Commission member????We lost $4,000,000,- !
We now have a 4 1/2 Million dollar deficit! Anyone surprised?
Fiscal responsibility??
Diana's boasting reveals her, and Tom's, authoritarian streak.
It reminds me of the GOP during the 2000 presidential campaign, boasting that they were going to capture the White House and "put the grown-ups back in charge." Grown-ups like Dubya, Cheney and Rumsfeld. That worked out really well...
Maybe she is talking about the 159 lawsuits
Diana, you are falling lower and lower. The Democrats will be very suspicious of you from now on.
I thought it was Ramiccio who liked to sue.
The P&Z never voted to sell the Ye Olde Bridge Park property. We did determine that it wasn't a park and that it was surplus. It was then in the City Commission's hands as to the sale of the property.
Wes, just like you told the 70 or so people in the Sunset neighborhood when the P&Z changed the zoning there and turned them down on the 4.02 parcel, "You will have another bite at the apple when it comes before the commission." You did exactly the same thing On Old Bridge Park when you determined it wasn't a park and declared it surplus so that your buddy Evans could buy it and build high. Well, it is NOW A PARK.
when the beach is done it is a parking lot
a shady parking lot...with picnic tables and a great view
Diana's comment was needlessly rude. It was tactless and stupid.I guess that having to be around Tom Ramiccio so much has put the thought of liquor paramount in her thought processes.
Tom Ramiccio could drive anyone to drink!
Iv'e seen what she calls adults at city hall acting like lunatics. It is embarrasing. The commission really needs to do something with these out of control children.
Who elected Wes Blackman to determine that the area was not a Park?Nobody.Wes did ,however, pave the why for one of his developer friends to get a sweetheart deal. The samething happened in the Sunset deal. Wes and his "Developers helping Developers board"ignored our million dollar master plan and the pleas of taxpayers asking that their neighborhood not be destroyed.A couple of his freinds wanted to make a quick profit, and Wes and his unelected band of crapetbaggers was there to make sure that their deal went through. No traffic study ,no site plan, SO WHAT! In order to do away with corruption ,we MUST do away with unelected boards that place the wants of their freinds above the good of the citizens of Lake Worth.
