Allen West debate at Bethesda By the Sea
Literally bursting at the seams with saints and sinners, the Allen West debate with Ron Klein was held this morning in Palm Beach at Bethesda By the Sea. If you didn't get there by 9:00, you didn't have a seat.
The Church began in 1889 and only seated 100 people. There were no roads back then and politicians had to spread the word through their community churches. They reverted to history today when the last West/Klein debate was held at Bethesda By the Sea that now has a seating capacity of 5,000. The main sanctuary was not where this debate was held, however, but in Parish Hall that holds approximately 200 people.
A few of the Town Council members said that they thought both campaigns brought in supporters. I know that Klein's campaign was urging their supporters to attend en mass. Allen West supporters were very enthusiastic.
Amendment 4 advocates were outside passing out palm cards.
