DEI Agenda OUT at Foreign Service; Merit Policy IN

State Department Ends DEI Policies in Foreign Service

A review conducted by the State Department found that DEI content had been incorporated in the Foreign Service’s training curricula.

“The U.S. Department of State has put an end to the ideologically extreme and discriminatory diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) agenda, restoring merit, rigor, and accountability to the Foreign Service and refocusing training on practical diplomatic skills that serve the common interests of the American people,” a State Department official told The Epoch Times on Aug. 13.

Thursday’s announcement came after President Donald Trump issued a memorandum in March 2025 to remove the DEI policies instituted under the Biden administration.

The memorandum directed the State Department to revise the 2022–2025 “Decision Criteria for Tenure and Promotion in the Foreign Service” by removing references to “Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility.”

Dei is so unfair I read an article recently about a professor from Harvard that got done working there because he said for 40 years or so he was excluded as a white straight man born in the United States always excluded from everything because of dei there's a lot of discrimination toward white american-born people because of dei in higher education but at every level and all jobs it's very sad to see Dei has been very destructive we've seen it firsthand where I work too. It's awful it's so unfair. It's racist!
