Evening Sky 7-12

Karoline Leavitt fired back at a reporter’s line of questioning Wednesday, scoffing at the suggestion that President Donald Trump opposes peaceful protests that challenge his agenda.

The exchange came during the daily briefing after Jasmine Wright, a politics reporter with NOTUS, pressed Leavitt to “clarify” what kinds of protests the president would allow—especially in light of Trump’s warning that any disruptions during Saturday’s military parade would be met with “very big force.”

Leavitt didn’t hold back. “The president absolutely supports peaceful protest, he supports the First Amendment, he supports the right of Americans to make their voices heard,” she said. “He does not support violence of any kind, he does not support assaulting law enforcement officers who are simply trying to do their job.”

"What a stupid question," Leavitt said.

Good Night, Patriots!

A poll released Friday makes it clear that the American people do not support such a vision and did not, in fact, expect a Trump administration to deport undocumented immigrants who have no criminal record and have lived in the U.S. for years. A Gallup poll released yesterday shows that the administration’s draconian policies toward immigrants have created a backlash. A record 79% of adults say immigration is good for the country, with only 17% seeing it as bad. That change has been driven primarily by a shift in Republicans, 64% of whom now agree that immigrants are good for the country, up from their low of under 40%. The percentage of American adults who say immigration should be reduced has dropped to 30%, down from 55% in 2024.

The poll is not accurate in that it did not use the word ILLEGAL immigrants. If they had done that, the results would have been different. We have always believed in legal immigration. There is a distinction that Gallup did not provide. So, Democrats, don't put too much credence in this poll other than the results showed that people believe in immigration... legal only needs to be added. On top of that, who did they poll?
