Nationwide Injunctions by a District Court Judge

Democrat Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett created another self-inflicted wound

Crockett’s desire to constantly make a spectacle of herself came back to bite her once again.

And Jasmine Crockett got some bad news about this dark secret from her past.

The ability to block executive orders and other executive branch actions through nationwide injunctions creates a system where the true power in America resides with more than 600 district court judges and the President serves as their subordinate begging for permission before being able to make policy decisions.

What these Democrat district court judges are effectively telling the American people with their rulings is that Donald Trump doesn’t get to be President.

Trump and supporters like Elon Musk called on Congress to assert its Constitutional power of impeachment and remove these rogue judges from the bench.

California Republican Congressman Darrell Issa chaired a hearing about his legislation to limit the ability of district court judges to make federal policy through nationwide injunctions.

And what does big mouth Jasmine do? She hijacked Congressman Issa's meeting to rant and rave about how President Trump supporting the impeachment of outlaw judges issuing lawless rulings meant the end of the American experiment.

A District Court Judge has no authority to make a nationwide injunction. A nationwide injunction issued by a district court can be appealed to a circuit court and then the Supreme Court, but while it goes through the process it can interrupt or even dictate federal policy for months or years. Nationwide injunctions are a recent phenomenon and no statutory or constitutional change explicitly authorized single district courts to enjoin policies on a nationwide basis.

Given the number of district courts, (600 plaintiffs) can forum shop to find the most sympathetic judge and obtain a nationwide ruling almost at will. [rpc.senate.gov/policy-papers]
