LAKE WORTH BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — Nearly a week after a shooting left a man critically injured, deputies say they’ve arrested the suspected gunman in Lake Worth Beach.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office (PBSO) said that deputies located the suspect, Charles Elery, at a home in Lake Worth Beach and took him into custody without incident.

On Saturday, April 12, PBSO reported responding to the shooting on the 1600 block of S Dixie Hwy in Lake Worth Beach at 1:38 p.m.

Elery was subsequently booked into Palm Beach County Jail on counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
