This week, Joe Biden made America’s nightmare official: he’s running for re-election
Joe’s announcement video begs Americans to let him “finish the job.” For the forgotten men and women of America, that’s a terrifying prospect. Under his leadership, middle-class Americans have been punished--the median househould has suffered what amounts to a 10 percent paycut, all thanks to Joe Biden.Speaking of finishing the job, let’s turn our attention to someone who ought to finish his: Ron DeSantis. The people of Florida elected him to serve as governor for another full four-year term; however, this week he successfully bullied the state legislature into rewriting Florida’s laws to allow him to run for president while being a part-time governor.
DeSantis has abdicated his duty to the people of Florida by jet setting across the country and across the globe on the taxpayers’ dime.
It would be one thing if this globalist media tour was effective, but Team DeSantis couldn’t even manage that. Upon returning home to a state battered by storms, DeSantis faced dismal headlines like “Ron DeTedious: DeSantis Underwhelms Britain’s Business Chiefs,” and “‘I think he’s in trouble’: Growing number of Ron DeSantis donors and allies hope for a shake-up.”
DeSantis should follow the lead of another Floridian who asserted to his constituents that he would not occupy an elected position while seeking another office:
“As the Republican nominee for Governor of Florida, it is clear to me that I will likely miss the vast majority of our remaining session days for this Congress. Under these circumstances, it would be inappropriate for me to accept a salary. In order to honor my principles and protect the taxpayer, I officially resign from the House of Representatives effective immediately.”
Oh, wait. That was Ron.
President Trump has consolidated his lead over the Republican field. For months, Trump maintained his double-digit lead over DeSantis, the closest wannabe nominee. And it continues to grow.
The American People have spoken, and they’re calling for Donald J. Trump.
Florida Rep. Byron Donalds is right—it’s a matter of being ready for the job:
“Not only is Trump the right choice over Biden, but his experience enables him to hit the ground running on day one. This is why I endorsed President Trump over Gov. Ron DeSantis. I’m looking for somebody who can come in on day one and get America back on track.”
