This Neighborhood Scout report shows the same map it did before the name change, taking every unincorporated area of Central PBC and counting it as Lake Worth and now Beach.
I initially brought this up 7 years ago and continued to talk about it during my campaign.
The voters decided to change our name - due to the Commission at the time putting it on the 2019 ballot - instead.
Obviously, it has changed nothing.

We knew it wouldn't change a darn thing. Just about anytime the city puts something on the ballot, it passes. This was Scott Maxwell's brain storm. It was not well thought out. And you are absolutely right, nothing has changed. Our city, now Lake Worth Beach, (I voted against this) is in the news all the time for "something near Lake Worth Beach" or whatever.
And as an aside, I voted for you!
I see no map but it must be stats from out of our city limits of LWB. No way could we have that much crime, could we?
I voted against it as well. It was all for marketing reasons, not crime stats.
Whoever compiled the report, couldn't care less what we call ourselves.
@8:42...I cared a lot about the name change. We had been Lake Worth since our town was chartered and they had no sense of history and its importance...didn't give a hot fig about that.
