According to Pew, white Democrats are relatively lukewarm about religion’s role in society, black Democrats consistently express more positive views while religious conservatives have long been an important part of the Republican coalition. You should watch the ad...it's about being kinder, etc. Dims have a lot of difficulty with Jesus' teachings.
People like to talk about Jesus, but nobody actually adheres to his teachings. In fact, we are so far away from a Godly life in the United States, that it is almost blasphemous to even bring it up.
Now, the Super Bowl! That's where Americans live. The Christians and the Lions!
