Quote of the Day - Commissioner Omari Hardy

"I would like to see us provide at least that amount (referring to the $25,000 that the city gave to Dollars for Scholars) in aid to folks in Puerto Rico...

We have been witnessing a large scale decimation of human dignity--and part of it is due to the storm; part of it is due to human neglect and part of of that is due to what has been, in my opinion, a piss poor effort on the part of the federal government."

~ Commissioner Hardy

Can we please stop this politically correct stuff?  All this liberal anti-Trump rhetoric has no place at city hall. Lake Worth, a poor city in its own right, should not be sending money to Puerto Rico.. Leave it to the federal government that was on the ground in Puerto Rico prior to the storm and had everything planned in anticipation of the hurricane's arrival.

This storm is costing the federal government billions. Democratic socialists just love to have feel good causes spending tax dollars--other people's money. $25,000 is just a PC token in the scheme of things to make our commissioners feel better. It would be better served right here in Lake Worth.

Commissioner Herman Robinson was not in favor of taking city money. Commissioner Amoroso thought it best to spend our money right here. Vice Mayor Scott Maxwell asked whether we were setting a precedent. The Mayor wanted to split the money and give to all the disaster areas. Commissioner Hardy was very persuasive and got his way. The commission all agreed to send $25,000 for Puerto Rican aid and has left it up to the city manager to figure out where it will go.

Homeland Security Adviser Tom Bossert  said that the reports that the federal response has been slow, blamed "misreporting."

Does this newly elected gentleman think he has the perspicacity to judge our elected President?.

Weak and unqualified people criticize those far above themselves so that they seem to be on the level of the person criticized.

Commissioner Hardy has been drinking the lying Kool-aid of the MSM.

Please refrain from using your temporary seat to push your erroneous views.

Commissioner Hardy, you're more than happy to donate MY TAX DOLLARS,instead, why don't you donate your Commission salary to this effort? My tax dollars need to stay right here in lake Worth. Katie Mcgiveron

These commissioners have no idea what their jobs are.

Hey, here's an idea. Why don't the commissioners give up $5,000 each of their salary and send it to PRico/

He just lost our vote and anyone who this blog endorses, naturally

thought the last couple of weeks hardy was for the people.boy got fooled there.no vote from us.when are we going to wake up and clean the swamp

Plus Hardy is from another country like Haiti or something and just expects the US to do everything for everyone. It is sad our society today, all want every thing given to them on a silver platter and not have to do anything. No one carries about all this debt, just keep spending like money grows on trees omari

To be clear, it was the entire commission that went along with this spending. Omari was the one who put it on the agenda at the last minute for discussion.

Stop with the political garbage nonsense. The Federal Govt response to the island was immense. FEMA was in place before the storm hit. Supplies have been pouring in non stop, but PUERTO RICAN truck drivers refuse to transport them because they are greedy and demanding more money. The island is a cesspool of corruption and kickbacks, and the power plant failed because politicians have been stealing from it's budget for years. Mayors all over the island and the Gov have all expressed gratitude and talk about how thankful they are for the help they have received,. One mayor, one miserable angry little leftist mayor who is running for Gov is the ONLY one who complained about the response. So what happens? Instead of the media picking up on the good being done, they focus solely on the angry liberal idiot in order to bash Trump. Only a fool who isn't capable of original thought doesn't see the truth. Oh yeah, the LW commissioner . . .

And President Trump charges on, a bearer of good news and hope to hurricane victims and shooting victims.

The hateful press-Mika Brezinski, Joe Scarborough, all CNN reporters and on air blowhards, MSNBC, etal are unable or unwilling to see all the good our President does on a daily basis.

May their viewership continue to erode as they spew their vicious venom.

Bravo President Trump!

And now his vulgar comment is a headline in the Palm Beach Post.

Disgusting example for his students and as a "leader" in Lake Worth.

That mayor of San Juan is a Clinton supporter trying to grab the spotlight through this disaster. She should be ignored. It's the governor who counts.
