Imagine...32 EXTRA TRAINS a DAY!

Well, just fricking GREAT !!! Everyone might as well FORGET about using 6th Avenue South. The traffic backs up almost to Congress from the tracks now. It's total gridlock for most of the morning and evening hours. Add in extra trains and we are totally screwed. I hope that no one west of the tracks has a heart attack or needs EMT help . They will be stuck waiting for yet another train to go by. The gates go up, the gates go down,,,, no train. As one women put it at a past meeting about this ridiculous situation- "You can eat a whole chicken dinner waiting to cross those tracks!" ' We get nothing from the city of Lake Worth here west of I-95.No parks, no landscaping , NO NOTHING. If it were not for the kindness of the Presbyterian church on Sunset, our neighborhood assoc. would not even have a place to meet .

opps - looks like I was way off!
Is the new figure 177 Trains a day?!?

"Currently the FEC tracks have about 13 daily freight trains and the CSX tracks have four. All Aboard Florida plans to run 32 trains a day and the Coastal Link would have 122 running between the two tracks, according to the grant application for the connectors."

So what part of we're coming out of our cars isn't clear yet? VMT in Oregon? Gas tax will stay the same and an EXTRA TAX for EVERY VEHICLE MILE TRAVELED will be applied. OK so u walk but back to the chicken dinner - can you raise your own food? If not those SAME VMT WILL increase your food costs because they must travel to us!

Heck, it's OUR VISION and we get to pay for it too! Isn't that special!
