Celebrate Tracy's birthday!
Hi Friends and Family, Please Join me for my 52'd Birthday for a Lagoon kayak and trash pick-up morning. We'll meet at Adventure Times Kayaks on Northlake at 8am. Steve, at Adventure Times, will get us all set up in our kayaks so we can launch by 8:30 and we will kayak down the Earman River canal out into the intracoastal (depending on weather), picking up trash and debris along the way. For all you novices, this is a great chance to try kayaking for the first time. In lieu of birthday gifts, your $40. donation will get you a membership in Lagoon Keepers www.lagoonkeepers.org and a half day use of a kayak, paddle & vest. If you have your own kayak, the donation will be $25. with 100% of the proceeds going to Lagoon Keepers for their great work. This organization has picked up an average of about 4-thousand pounds of debris a week over the last 10 years coming out of our Intracoastal Waterway. Read more: http://www.wptv.com//dpp/
Bring your own snacks, sunhat, sunscreen, water shoes and water or trash picking gloves and I'll bring the drinking water and trash bags. I will need a confirmed commitment about a week in advance to reserve the kayaks. Rain or shine you'll be getting wet! Hope you can join me!!!
