Announces Toys for Tots Drive
Congressman-Elect Allen West in conjunction with the United States Marine Corps will begin an immediate campaign to collect toys for needy children in the community through the Toys for Tots program.
"Although our district has been blessed in many ways, we can not forget how many children in both Palm Beach and Broward Counties will have little to nothing this holiday season," West said. "It is during times like this we realize how important it is to come together as a community and be of help."
Members of the community are encouraged to drop a new, unwrapped toy in collection boxes at the West for Congress Headquarters in Deerfield Beach Monday through Friday between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. The West Toys for Tot coordinator will work with local Marines to collect as many toys between now and the deadline of December 17th.

*The primary goal of the United States Marines Toys for Tots program is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.
