"You are essentially selling our beach to the county for a measly $5 million," resident Rebecca Hinson told commissioners in September. "Our beach is priceless."
Resident Katie McGiveron said she understood the compromise and could live with 55 spaces set aside for residents, but the idea of contributing to a county bond that reduces her resident rights at the city beach bothers her.
"I paid my bond issue money to take away my parking," McGiveron said. "If the compromise is a decal lot, we'll have a decal lot."

I really want us to tell the county to go screw themselves and charge anybody not a Lake Worth resident 20 bucks a pop to go to OUR beach.The county has some nerve. Oh well, our Commission doesn't have the balls to tell the county to shove it, so I guess a compromise that gives us at least some decal spaces is the best we can hope for.This sucks! Katie
