If you recall, the last time this item appeared before the special magistrate, the city only asked for a $100 day fine on the containers being stored on the property. $100 for all 9 of them! This fine began on June 29, 10 days after that meeting. $100 a day is a drop in the bucket for Mr. Schlesinger. Now the city administration has taken another look at this egregious spit in your eye on the City and will propose a $100 a day fine on EACH of the containers, or $900 a day.
This is more like it and may get Mr. Schlesinger’s attention. This guy has jerked the city around for years with the complicity of the P&Z Board and the City Commission whose hands were tied. At least now we might have a special magistrate looking at this situation with eyes wide opened and no other interest but doing what’s right for

Those containers have been there for months now. Instead of $3,000 a month, it will be $27,000. That will get his attention for sure. I noticed he still has a security guard there. There must be valuable stuff in them.
He'll get his lawyer into the act. He should save his money. It won't do him a bit of good. I hope that the judge does not compromise with him and goes with the city's recommendation.
