Coming soon....

We have Ordinance after Ordinance to worry about within the City of Lake Worth. Last night it was a Noise Ordinance that packed the chamber room. People are more concerned about noise than they are about discussing the beach and were certainly more concerned about chickens than the 13.50% raise on our potable water consumption of several weeks ago. It has to make you wonder.

On April 21, 2009, the City Commission voted to allow residents to keep bee hives on their property. Bees seemed to be A-okay to all five on the dais. Chickens and ducks will be brought back to the dais at a future time.

Dr. Lynch, Veterinarian, spoke on bees as he has a hive in his yard. He mentioned the care of bees as well as the proper permits. Not only do you have to be well educated on keeping bees, you must know about the impact of new pests and diseases particularly the Argentine ant that will literally take over a bee hive.

wondering why the Commission does what it does.
