A Letter to the Editor today commended Commissioner Jennings for her actions in Miami. It has to make you wonder if every anarchist in Lake Worth wrote in to the Post in solidarity for Jennings. The rest of us just threw up our arms, too shocked to respond. And why bother. She said she was going to continue on with her "activism."
Jennings' activism a beacon for Lake Worth
As a resident of Lake Worth, I would like to say that it's a sad day when you pick up the paper and read an account of a city business leader scolding a city commissioner for peacefully demonstrating her support of human rights. I am proud to say that I live in a city populated with diverse citizens who are active on many issues; this is what makes Lake Worth great.
Commissioner Cara Jennings acted on her own time. As a concerned citizen, I believe she shines a positive light on our little town. Keep shining.
PENNY DARLING
Lake Worth
Penny, darling, this was a very negative light for Lake Worth. Getting arrested and acting stupid is not something an elected official should be doing. In fact, where has she been lately? She has missed the last two special meetings. Please, we need a commissioner concerned with OUR problems, not those of the County or the World.
What someone does in their private time is their business but everything she does reflects on our City and what she did in Miami was not a good light, not in the slightest.
