Lake Worth Incumbents

Comment Up

Incumbents always have an easier time raising money. One of the reasons is that this side ALWAYS has the money.  These are your property managers, Realtors, investors, general contractors and attorneys. Some are probably friends of Hudson Holdings for all we know. Our Commissioners and Mayor are going to town already raising thousands of dollars to ensure that they will be re-elected and some of their contributors have money to burn.

Why do they want all this aggravation especially when nothing is better? At least their vote will count unlike what they decided about our Charter Amendment--they discounted that vote with the flick of a Bic.  Below is the amount they have collected to date along with a few of their top contributors:

Andy Amoroso
$3,820
Martin Welfeld--$1,000, Teresa Miller--$1,000

Scott Maxwell
$9,110.00
Friends of Mark Foley--$500, A property investor from Lantana--$500, Anthony Marotta again--$500, Florida on the Move PAC--$250, Benny's on the Beach--$1,000, Marty Welfeld--$1,000. Teresa Miller--$1,000, Lisa Maxwell--$250, McMow Glass--$250.

Mayor Pam Triolo
$7,375.00
With donations from the usual suspects: Friends of Mark Foley-$500, A neighborhood association president, Anthony Marotta--$500, (it never ceases to amaze me that someone is still getting money from a Sun Recycling company), Jetport II LLC--$500, Benny's on the Beach (friend of Hudson Holdings)--$1,000, and Callaro Steakhouse gave an in-kind contribution of $1,000, Martin Welfeld--$1,000, Teresa Miller--$1,000.

And just think, we still have nearly three months to go until election day.

Quote of the Day - Donald Trump

“If anyone needs more evidence of why the American people are suffering at the hands of their own government, look no further than the budget deal announced by Speaker Ryan. In order to avoid a government shutdown, a cowardly threat from an incompetent president, the elected Republicans in Congress threw in the towel and showed absolutely no budget discipline.”

Muslims don't like Democracy

“Requiring schoolchildren to sing the national anthem, and the citizenship pledge supporting democratic values, are a part of an oppressive campaign by Australian authorities of ‘forced assimilation’ of the Muslim community.”

Islamic activist group, Hizb-ut-Tahrir

This is happening in Australia.  It's all just a matter of time before we see this peaceful group here or a similar one. These Muslims want to immigrate and have all the benefits of a free society but don't want to assimilate.

Hillary and Gun Control

“In the wake of the San Bernardino attack, you all emphasized gun control. But our latest poll shows that more Americans believe arming people, not stricter gun laws, is the best defense against terrorism. Are they wrong?” the moderator asked.

Listen to what Hillary said:

Quote of the Day - David Kupelian on America's delusionary Commander in Chief

“Reality check: For a good part of millennials’ lives (the past seven years), their nation has been run by a lawless, lying Marxist revolutionary, a man literally obsessed with phantom menaces like global warming, ‘gun violence,’ an epidemic of racism among law enforcement, and other delusions.”

~ David Kupelian, author of “The Snapping of the American Mind.”

Christian street preacher wins legal appeal

Comment Up
Supported by the Christian Legal Centre, a street preacher won his appeal against a public order conviction for using the 'wrong' Bible verse in public.

A lawyer from the Christian Legal Centre said, "Public debate is becoming more superficial and fragile. People feel that certain things can't be said. That is dangerous. It prevents us from challenging ideas, beliefs and behavior that need to be challenged. It may make some people feel more comfortable, but it doesn't make the country safer.

"Mike's case highlights problems that will only get worse if the government plows on with its flawed 'Counter-Extremism Strategy'. Islamic terrorism needs to be tackled, but giving the government far-reaching powers to clamp down on all sorts of beliefs that it doesn't like is dangerous.

This is what's happening across the world today. A preacher gets sued for reading a Bible verse and a lower court judge actually ruled against him.  Although this happened in England, we are experiencing the exact same thing in the freest nation on Earth. People have found that they can call anyone anything that they like and try to end free speech. Our own city commission put a lock on free speech when it voted on a 4/1 to change the procedure on invocations after having them for 75 years or so. The government is controlling the message.

Read about Christian preacher in North Korea who was just sentenced to life. We are becoming just like they are; it is all in the degree of harshness that we impose.

But it's not only invocations or preaching in public that is being condemned by some, it is all of the name calling by those minority groups that believe only their opinion matters and who are trying to end the First Amendment. We have some in this town who love to call people racist and worse for simply stating an opinion on anything. They think it cool to take the side of the downtrodden or those who cry "unfair." Don't mention your opinion or observation of a current event as they will have some ridiculous comment.

Hillary bashes Trump

Hillary did well last night bashing Donald Trump and as we all know, she lies. “He is becoming ISIS’s best recruiter. They are going to people, showing videos of Donald Trump insulting Islam and Muslims in order to recruit more radical jihadists.”

The problem with this outlandish and unbelievable personal attack-- NO proof. She will say anything to get elected and continues to suck up to Muslims.  And did you notice, they didn't ask her about Benghazi or her e-mails on a private server that are now under a full blown FBI investigation.

How our Electeds voted and put us in more unsustainable debt

See how they voted on the 2,009 page Omnibus bill that contains $1.1 trillion for funding the entire government for the remainder of fiscal year 2016, or $547 million per page:

Congress...316/113

Senate...65/33

And a vote such as this is why Ted Cruz is now in second place in many polls.

Democratic Debate Tonight

Tonight is the Democratic Presidential Debate at 8pm on ABC.  The Democrats say that they are upset--the debate is on a low-ratings Saturday night when most people aren't watching or perhaps tonight off to see Star Wars.

The Dems want to get out their vision for America. Well let's see what that "vision" and all that hope and change has done--here's a few:
  • Racial divide worse than ever--racists burning down Baltimore, etc. and hate groups such at Black Lives Matter pop up.
  • We got deeper in debt and the stimulus didn't work
  • We found out that no corporation is too big to fail
  • Obamacare is falling in the abyss and costs are not affordable.
  • His open border policy has left the country in harm's way
  • Everyone is leery about accepting Muslim refugees but he just doesn't get it saying that "this is what America is all about."
  • He is responsible for ISIS by prematurely getting out of IRAQ and leaving no boots on the ground
  • All our allies in the Mid-East now hate us.
  • He lied to the American people about  Benghazi
  • These Democratic candidates are lying about Republicans calling some candidates such as Trump, racist and homophobic. They are doing nothing about our borders.
  • His diplomatic deals with ayatollahs failed miserably.
  • He has no clue who the enemy is.
  • He has no clue that Russia is really "playing" us
  • He released terrorists from Gitmo and exchanged 5 criminals for Bergdahl who turned out to be a punk (we all knew that but Obama)
  • He goes on vacation after vacation playing golf while America burns and an American citizen is murdered by an illegal alien who was deported five times from this country for committing crimes. He won't enact Kate's Law.
  • He says that we haven't had a terrorist attack in our country since 9/11. What about San Bernardino
So, yes, some of us might watch this "debate" tonight and find out that Bernie's campaign stole data from a DNC database and now he is suing the Democratic National Committee for freezing him out. We might find out that the DNC is broke. And we will probably just hear rhetoric and more of the same.

Obama made another horrendously BAD DEAL

We keep worrying about the Lake Worth City Commission compromising our city and its valuable assets but what would you say to the president of the United States allowing foreign investors to acquire land, business, ports, etc and have the right to sue us.?

(Conservative Tribune) – Once shrouded in secrecy, President Barack Obama’s Trans-Pacific Partnership is now becoming public, and what we’re discovering is absolutely frightening. Apparently the deal reverses policies in place to protect national security.

Chapter 11 of the deal allows foreign investors the rights to acquire American land, businesses, ports, natural resources, infrastructure and other property.

Chapters 28 and 29 give foreign investors the ability to work around U.S. courts and sue the United States before a dispute tribunal if they feel U.S. law violated their “rights” under the deal.
