Wasserman Schultz Just Broke With Her Own Party to Side With Trump on Iran War

Debbie Wasserman Schultz is one of the most powerful Democrats in Washington.

The former DNC head just made a move that will surprise many. The Florida Democrat just announced she'll vote yes on supplemental funding for Operation Epic Fury.

On Friday's broadcast of Bloomberg's Balance of Power, Wasserman Schultz made it official.

"I will support a supplemental," she told co-host Joe Mathieu, "because we have our military over there and we need to make sure that we're protecting our national security interests and ensuring that they have the resources that they need."

She wrapped the announcement in qualifications – no day-after plan, insufficient preparation, Congress wasn't consulted.

But the bottom line: when the vote comes, she's a yes.
