James Woods Slams Vogue’s ‘Embarrassingly Handsome’ Newsom Profile Amid California’s Decline

There’s an old saying about putting lipstick on a pig. Apparently, Vogue magazine missed that memo … or perhaps they just decided the pig in question was too photogenic to resist.

The fashion bible recently decided to profile outgoing California Governor Gavin Newsom as he prepares to deliver his final State of the State address. One might expect a serious publication to grill a governor whose state has hemorrhaged residents, businesses, and credibility over the past seven years.

One might expect pointed questions about rampant fraud, ballooning deficits, or the thousands of Palisades fire victims still waiting for answers more than a year later. But one would be sorely disappointed — though honestly, are any of us surprised anymore?

The author herself admitted she ran out of time to discuss the LA wildfires, homelessness, Hollywood’s collapse, or the looming AI disruption. But don’t worry; she found time for what really matters.

Newsom: lithe, ardent, energetic, a glimmer of optimism in his eye; Kennedy-esque.
