Trump Designated Louisiana Lockup For Worst Criminal Illegals. Angola Prison is Louisiana's only maximum-security facility. Trump partnered with Governor Jeff Landry in September 2025 to turn part of Angola into the Louisiana Lockup.
The facility was designed specifically to house the most dangerous criminal illegals arrested by ICE.
All four had final removal orders.
All four served their criminal sentences.
All four were supposed to be deported.
Instead, Judge deGravelles sent them back onto the streets.
